STEVEN WALTER CHILDREN’S CANCER FOUNDATION: SNOWY RIDE
Meaning never comes from what you get, it comes from what you give.

In the last few years we’ve been lucky enough to be invited into the Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation and wider Snowy Ride family of volunteers to support the foundation through sharing the stories of the families, children and survivors of childhood cancer.

Our small role in the team of hundreds of volunteers that support the annual Snowy Ride event in Thredbo is to create the digital and video content to help communicate what the Snowy Ride is about and how the funds raised go to supporting a cure for childhood cancer research.

We are not usually ones for sprouting self help guides or mantras from glorified gurus but found this little quote on the importance of giving back which we think best sums up the sentiment:

“Creating meaning. How do you create meaning in your life? It’s not about what you do for yourself: It’s about how you’re able to better the lives of the people around you – your loved ones, the people in your community or the lives of people somewhere else in the world. Meaning never comes from what you get, it comes from what you give.” Anthony Robbins.
