The Steve Waugh Foundation provides life changing support and champions the stories of children living with rare diseases. They characterise these children as the orphans of the health system, often living without a diagnosis.

In the loupe were on hand to capture the fifth year of the Captain’s Ride fundraising event on behalf of major sponsor Blooms the Chemist. Blooms the Chemist Pharmacist and Store Owner Kurt Smith and CFO Andrew Crawford were also participating in this incredible charity event.

The Captain’s ride is a six day, 800km cycling event. Starting in Toowoomba, Queensland, three pelatons snaked their way through the state to end their journey on the Gold Coast. The amazing riders and ambassadors were led by ex-Australian Cricket Captain and Blooms the Chemist ambassador, Steve Waugh.

The Captain’s Ride is about people from all walks of life leading, inspiring, supporting and guiding others. The ride is about ‘strength of character’. It’s at the core of what the Steve Waugh Foundation do, from the people they support to the people who support them.

It is a rare privilege to work with such amazing community leaders who truly care about the people they support and serve.
